THE RUNNER
THE RUNNER is an award-winning short about a little boy from a township in Cape Town. He needs to find money for his mother's vital surgery and pays a high price that changes his world. It's a story about the universal truth that you cannot achieve something good by doing something bad or in other words: "Morality is indivisible!"
During many visits to Cape Town the filmmaker and producers fell in love with the beauty of South Africa but at the same time came to realize that they wanted to do something to support local people who are less fortunate. The team of THE RUNNER therefore aligned forces with the MyLife Foundation – MyLife supports children and youth in Cape Town otherwise trapped in unemployment, poverty and hopelessness.
